What is LEPSSA Funeral Scheme
It is a funeral cover by Lesotho Public Service Staff Association(LEPSSA) to ensure that members of LEPSSA afford to bury thier loved ones with dignity and peace of mind. MemberShip is compulsory and restricted to all members of LEPSSA who have not yet attained the normal retirement age(60 years)
How to Claim the benefits
All these benefits are provided through the Association. Therefore all claims must be submitted to the association. All claims are assessed based on merits and by no means set a precedent for future claims outside of the provided regulations and legal documents to be submitted.
Paid Up Policy:-
When a member passes on, his/her dependants remain covered until they no longer hold the dependant status e.g When a child is no longer fits the description of a child according to the policy document or the spouse no longer holds the spouse status. This means that the policy has become paid up and the policy will pay premiuums on behalf of the deceased member, the dependants will not pay any premiums though they enjoy cover
Some Important Notes:
A child is any of your legally adopted children and/or biological off springs from 21 weeks of intra-uterine growth to the age of 21 years. This may be extended to 25 years of age if proof is provided that the participant was a full time student. A mentally incapacitated child remains a child till death
MemberShip is M19.50.
