Membership Eligibility
Employees in the public sector and where Government has financial interest shall be eligible for membership except employees who are in management positions such as Principal Secretaries.
Persons eligible for membership shall also include:
Those who have been employed in the public service but are now employed under different Commissions or authorities such as local Government Commission and independent Electoral Commission, Land Authorities, Water Authority, Lesotho Revenue Authority; Road Fund etc.
Members retired from the Public Service or Such Commissions.
APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
Application for membership may be submitted to the shop steward unit committee/ branch of the district in which the applicant resides or to the Head Office of the Union where no Branch or Unit Committee has been formed who shall determine the membership.
The Central Executive Committee shall also determine applications for membership.
The office which receives the application may accept or refuse membership upon providing the application with reasons for such refusal.
The person refused membership shall have a right to appeal to the Central Executive Committee.
Membership for Re-Admission as a member shall Be
After at least (1) month for a member whose application has been rejected and wants to re-apply.
After at least (6) months for a member who seeks re-admission after resigning.
After at least (12) months for a member who seeks re-admission after being expelled from the organization.
Membership of the Association shall come into effect upon approval and payment of prescribed membership subscription fee
